Housekeeping
Cotswold Quarters started life offering vacation rental management across the Cotswolds. From those early days we have developed a particular expertise in the provision of reliably high quality
housekeeping for holiday homes across the region - from the smallest cottages to large manor houses in mixed use.
Bed-making, bathroom and loo-cleaning, kitchen deep cleans, vacuuming, dusting, polishing and tidying, refuse removal, linen renewal, we do it all. We darn your pillowcases and carry out regular pool cleaning and maintenance for some lucky clients too!
Security
We developed our security services in response to clients' requests for house-sitting, key-holding, alarm and motion sensor response. We now provide all these services together with regular and ad hoc inspection visits, alarm system specification and local risk assessment.

We are lucky to live and work in a relatively low-crime area, but many of our clients own and wish to secure high-value possessions and we have become adept at suggesting appropriate and low-cost solutions that provide security for properties and possessions.
Maintenance
From the provision of housekeeping services it was but a small step to providing more structural property maintenance. We now have a small inhouse team who respond to plumbing, heating, electrical, and roofing emergencies, hang new pictures, fix loose hooks and repair sticky window-frames.

Beyond short-term fixes, we also offer planned painting and decorating, small internal and external building works, gravel-laying and, of course, some dry stone walling too.
Meet & Greet
Although since covid the trend has been for lockbox and remote access, we are happy to meet guests at the start of their lettings, not only to welcome them and show them around the house, but also to answer their queries and make sure that guests will make the most of their stay.

As well as meeting new guests this also allows us to complete a final pre-letting inspection and leave welcome baskets and any guest pre-ordered supplies.
Changeover
As part of the changeover process we not only clean the property thoroughly, but make sure that the house looks its absolute best for the arrival of the new guests.
Not only do we make all the beds with fresh linen and replace all the bathroom linen, but we also complete a thorough kitchen deep clean and bathroom refresh and a total home tidy, vacuum, clean and polish.
Compliance
CQ reviews every property's legal compliance with the various letting and safety requirements including insurance coverage, fire safety assessments, electrical appliance testing and gas safety certification.

After identifying any compliance requirements, CQ manages any necessary processes to obtain and then maintain compliance.
Gardening
CQ can perform all your regular garden maintenance, providing weeding, hedge cutting and planting through to patio sweeping and hanging basket renewal.
We are very happy to fall in behind your own gardening interests to provide landscaping assistance, planting advice and procurement or undertake more transformative projects. Dave is a particularly dab hand at gazebo construction and looks after a couple of ha-has too while we are (quietly) proud to maintain a couple of gardens that feature in the NGS "Yellow Book."

Decorating
Homes that are let on short-term holiday lets tend to require a reasonable programme of decorative maintenance alongside regular upkeep and housekeeping.

Our own inhouse painter and decorator has many years of experience across historic homes, cottage refurbishments and even churches!
With expertise in traditional materials including limewash and oil paints in listed buildings, but equally at home with "a quick bathroom refresh" we plan most or our decoration works around the lettings calendar to avoid too much disruption.
Lettings Management
We manage the lettings process for our clients' homes through a variety of platforms that suit our clients and their letting objectives.
This involves listing properties and managing lettings via AirBnB, booking.com, holidaycottages.co.uk, character-cottages.co.uk and newer local agencies including cotswoldshideaways.co.uk. We generally manage the lettings process from start to finish, interfacing with guests and managing last-minute changes of plans, recommendation requests and travel updates, but we can flex around differing clients' desires for involvement in and control of the lettings process.
